The axillary flowers of Asparagus aethiopicus grow in racemes. The tepals spread in a star-shape. Flower dimensions are about 7 mm wide and up to 5 mm long.

Buff-coloured ovoid buds can be seen among open flowers, young and old. The young flowers still have purplish or plum-coloured anthers at the tips of straight white filaments (Manning, 2007; Bean and Johns, 2005; Wikipedia).
