This Adromischus hemisphaericus plant was photographed in the Rooiberg in May, unfortunately not flowering at the time. The leaves here show a fine velvety covering over thickly succulent blades that are slightly notched on top.

The flowers grow in clusters botanically called spike-like thyrses. The flowers have green tubes and short calyces. The five corolla lobes form a small star-shape, white in the centre and pink towards the petal lobe tips. These petal lobes are keeled, often recurving (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
