The whitish grey Adromischus filicaulis subsp. marlothii leaves taper to blunt tips, nearly cone-shaped but for slight inwards curvature. The leaves also taper to their bases in forming a spindle-shape but the upper parts are longer.
The leaves in picture grow on short, pinkish red stalks alternating up a similarly coloured stem. Older leaves on short branches near the base are yellowish or darkened.
Slight wrinkling of the leaf surfaces indicates loss of moisture from the plant in midsummer. The photo was taken at Minwater farm near Oudtshoorn (Frandsen, 2017; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
