Chaenostoma revolutum flowers

These Chaenostoma revolutum autumn blooms show their stamens near the Seweweekspoort. The four stamens grow in two pairs of unequal length. In this species all four protrude from the fairly wide flower mouth. The anthers are yellow and so is the throat of the corolla.

The flowers grow in a raceme here, solitary from leaf axils; the flower tubes long on long pedicels (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010).
