Cheiridopsis denticulata flower re-opens daily

Before or after opening? Cheiridopsis flowers close at night, open near noon daily, more resolutely on sunny days.

The petals usually start off paler, fading gradually to a deeper apricot with individual differences in flower colour among plants.

The thick, keeled sepals around the flower base are leaf-like (Le Roux, et al, 2009; Manning, 2009; iNaturalist).
