    Cleretum papulosum subsp. schlechteri, a Northern Cape plant, at times and in certain places adds meaningfully to spring blooms of Namaqualand.

    The bigger of two subspecies, it reaches only about 10 cm when in bloom. Vigour and merit can also be recognised in the smaller participants of a festival (Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist).
