The narrow, oblanceolate Cleretum bellidiforme leaves taper gradually to the base, the tips rounded, never lobed. They may be opposite or alternate on the stems, densely clustered at stem-tips.
Some blade surfaces sink slightly along the lower part of their midribs, mostly bulging slightly in the upper parts. The blades are thinly fleshy and even in thickness.
The leaves are densely covered in glistening papillae, the lumpy bladder cells or vesicles upon their pale to yellow-green surfaces (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996).
