    The alternate to spiralling and sometimes subopposite Chrysocoma ciliata leaves are stalkless and when seen close-up, disclose convex upper surfaces ending in rounded tips. The leaves normally considered hairless, here present the issue as debatable to some extent by what is visible in picture.

    The young stems are green, gradually turning brown where the leaves usually start dropping off (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
