The simple, alternate leaves of Cineraria lobata grow on petioles of up to 15 mm long.
The leaf-shape is ovate to rounded, heart-shaped at the base, the margins angularly toothed or scalloped and sometimes lobed. There are sometimes also ear-like lobes on the petioles, separate from the main blade parts. The blades are bright green, soft and hairless.
The lower stems are sometimes red purple like those of C. platycarpa (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Shearing and Van Heerden, 2008; Manning, 2007; Gledhill, 1981; iNaturalist).
