The flowers of Cotyledon woodii, pendulous as is common among Cotyledon flowers, nod from short stalks at stem tips and leaf axils in groups of up to three just above the leaves. The flower tube is cylindrical, about 1,5 cm long and bright red to pink or somewhat orange in colour. The five petal lobes spread star-like, curving back, but much less than commonly seen on some Cotyledon species.
Blooming happens in summer and autumn, but sporadically all year round (Smith and Crouch, 2009; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984).
