Crassula expansa subsp. fragilis produces tiny, white or pinkish buds and white flowers. The flower-shape resembles five-pointed stars scattered on the tangled cushion of slender stems and tiny leaves.

Flowers may be expected from late spring to autumn (www.kumbulanursery.co.za; www.plantsinstock.co.za).
