The small flowers of Crassula cultrata grow in densely clustered, thyrse-shaped heads, spreading around the upper parts of the erect stems that become about 30 cm long.
In bud, the flowers appear yellowish green, when only the fleshy and hairy, triangular sepals, ciliate on the edges, are visible. The flowers in picture are not yet open. The photo was taken in Meiringspoort in January.
The tubular corollas are 4 mm to 5 mm long, the petals creamy. The five petals of open flowers have narrow sides and rounded tips.
Blooming happens late in spring to midsummer (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; JSTOR).
