Crassula alba var. alba white flowers and red stems

Looking carefully into the flowers of Crassula alba var. alba shown here, some can be seen with stigmas (or stigmata?) unbranched, tiny five-pointed column tips in the centre of the corolla, while others already show the delicate threads of the stigma branches. The dark brown anthers on their white filaments are taller and spread around the carpel, the female flower parts. The flowers are white, unusual for South African forms of this taxon; the only red to be seen is on the upper stems branching below the flowers (Germishuizen and Fabian, 1982; Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; iSpot).
