    When roughing it among rocks, heat and drought, Crassula ciliata may undergo remarkable colour transformation. Leaf shape and size are about normal, but lacerations and wrinkling tell stories about hard times. Even the ciliate leaf margins become less ciliate in these wars.

    In spite of current hardship as there may be, some seed of unknown credentials is patiently awaiting further transportation opportunities in the shade provided by the small plant. A hopefully suitable site or life station may bring a glorious life somewhere in the great unknown. Hope is a risk that will be run by those that crave life.
