    The flower tubes of Conophytum jucundum subsp. fragile are long. On some of the flowers the tips of the sepals can be discerned halfway up these white tubes. The single whorl of petals is purplish pink, sagging towards their tips. Maybe this is because they near the end of their blooming phase.

    Flower colour varies from purple to pink and white. Yellow anthers are visible in the flower mouths. Their filaments may have some maroon colouring, maybe particularly on white flowers.

    There is some doubt as to whether this plant is these days to be called C. wettsteinii subsp. fragile (Smith, et al, 1998; Smith, et al, 1997; iSpot).
