Although the previous days of spreading, yellow ray florets have been missed for the photo, this Othonna ramulosa plant still presents proof of abundant flowering. Its flowering normally happens from late autumn to early spring.

Each head is carried by its own, naked peduncle, ensuring it faces sunlight mostly available in the middle hours of the day. About eight ray florets spread to a diameter of about 2 cm. Some heads still have yellow colouring on the discs where tiny five-lobed, bisexual florets are crowded, still prepared for pleasing pollinators.

The bare peduncles are shorter than those of O. coronopifolia, a similar species, usually becoming less than 5 cm long (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
