Leaf shapes vary on Othonna perfoliata plants. Leaf fortunes do as well. The upper leaves in picture have come to grief on this branched stem that displays varied leaf shapes in spite of all their manifestations of misfortune.

While withering, some leaves are still generous in revealing their lower surfaces, paler than the upper ones in picture.
