Othonna perfoliata bending stem

This top-heavy Othonna perfoliata stem provides the opportunity to inspect leaf upper and lower surfaces simultaneously. The paleness of the lower surface is real, enhanced by the sunlight in the photo.

The lower, concave surface has the midrib raised slightly, fitting with it being sunken above. The wide spacing of the leaves is typical.

There is a couple of buds present, growing from leaf axils.
