The flowers of this Orthochilus which isn't vinosus grow in a dense spike, from 9 to 18 flowers per inflorescence. The flower-shape here tends towards campanulate or bell-shape, the petals and sepals more similar to each other than in Eulophia flowers that are closely related. Flower colour is bright pinkish purple, might also be called purple-rose to wine-coloured, but words lag in this task, often not living up to flower colour extravagances.

The outstanding segment of this plant's flower is its lip that sports a pale yellow and cream crest. Thin papillae, fleshy protuberances, are borne in rows upon this crest, aimed at intriguing insects.

The lip and the pair of lateral petals are positioned inside the whorl of three sepals. The sepals still don’t spread widely, after an early life in extremely cramped quarters allowed by the thin-tipped bracts, now all but obliterated (iNaturalist; iSpot; www.orchidspecies.com).
