Nemesia floribunda is a branched annual that grows hairy green stems to heights from 15 cm to 30 cm.
The simple, opposite leaves are stalked. The leaf-shape is ovate with bluntly pointed tip and rounded, sometimes heart-shaped base. The margins are mostly toothed, sometimes entire. The midribs are prominent on the lower surfaces, other veins variably clear to see. The blades are slightly rough-surfaced and may be short-haired.
There is some resemblance between this plant and N. bicornis.
The species distribution is in the Eastern Cape and the Western Cape, but also in the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal and North West. The photo was taken near Oudtshoorn.
The habitat is varied scrubveld slopes and flats. The species is not considered threatened in habitat early in the twenty first century (Moriarty, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
