The anthers of the Ornithoglossum undulatum flower are by now brown, after their initial purple phase. The dividing line between the two lobes of each anther is by now dark in most cases.
The upper parts of the styles, only two of the usual three visible here, are no longer white, turned dull greenish.
Four of the six petals are positioned together, their dark purple tips pointing in the same direction, the two at the ends turned sideways.
The white patches in the lower purple areas on the petals, where the claws meet the blades, are about where the nectar production facilities of the flower are situated (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Shearing and Van Heerden, 2008; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
