Ozoroa paniculosa leaves

The simple leaves of Ozoroa paniculosa grow alternately or in whorls of three on petioles of 2,5 mm to 12 mm.

Their shape is narrowly oblong to elliptic with rounded or broadly tapering tip, plus a mucro (hair-like protruding point). The leaf base tapers. The leaf margins are entire, but tend to be scalloped and slightly wavy. The margins are faintly thickened and sometimes rolled under. Leaf dimensions are 4 cm to 12 cm by 1 cm to 4 cm.

The upper leaf surface is green without hair or with just a few. The lower surface is silky from a dense covering of hairs. The midrib and lateral veins, closely spaced and parallel, are prominent on the lower leaf surfaces (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Schmidt, et al, 2002; Pooley, 1993).
