Ozoroa dispar leaves

The leaves of Ozoroa dispar are simple, crowded and spirally arranged at branch tips on petioles from 2 mm to 4 mm long.

The leaf-shape is narrowly elliptic, ovate or obovate with blunt to rounded or slightly notched tip and tapering base. The margin is entire or minutely scalloped. The leaf texture is thick and leathery, the blade wavy. The leaf colour is bright green on top and glossy, the lower surface olive green to whitish, densely covered in fine, yellowish-grey, velvety hairs.

The leaf is lined in cream-coloured, parallel, ridged lateral veins conspicuous on both surfaces. These veins are close together i.e. numerous and slightly ascending to near the margins where they split. Fine net-veining is also visible upon the blades while the midrib bulges on both surfaces.

The leaf dimensions are 2 cm to 8 cm long and 2 cm to 3 cm wide, typically 5 cm by 2 cm (Mannheimer and Curtis, (Eds.), 2009; Le Roux, et al, 2005; Coates Palgrave, 2002; Eliovson 1990; iNaturalist).
