Moraea lewisiae subsp. lewisiae spathes green or dry

Three green spathes or bracts ending in sloping margins envelop the Moraea lewisiae subsp. lewisiae flower base in picture tightly. The spathes are leaf-like and leathery, tapering to acutely pointed tips.
