This Oxalis ciliaris var. ciliaris flower seen in the Kouga during May has roughly rectangular corolla lobes that curve in slightly along their lateral margins near the tips.
Slightly darker veins than the pale pink to rose-lilac and sometimes about white petal surfaces are nearly parallel and nearly straight, across the lower parts of the petal lobes.
The slightly five-angled corolla cup is ochre-yellow, the vein lines continuing from the rim into the cup but vanish below as on the lobe tips. Stamens and style are obscure in the cup, not reaching the mouth of the corolla (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
