The hairy, trifoliolate leaves of Oxalis punctata, in Afrikaans kleinblaarsuring, grow in a basal tuft.

The three leaflets comprising each leaf are nearly circular or slightly heart-shaped, mostly notched at the tip. The glaucous (blue-grey) leaflet blades are flat, slightly succulent with large surface cells. Lower leaf surfaces are sometimes reddish purple. The central leaflet measures about 5 mm in both length and width.

The leaf stalks (and flower scapes) are often covered in glandular hairs, this hairiness highlighted by the sun in the photo.

There is slight hairiness upon the dull yellow-green outer surfaces of the corolla tubes (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot).
