    The five style branches of this Monsonia patersonii flower resemble the filaments of the stamens that appear firmly pushed aside around them. Female and male floral parts dominate the flower centre where pollinators are sure to find them, given all the pink advertising material drawing attention. The yellow anthers have ample pollen available to be appropriated by visitors.

    The flower growing on this leafless stem is as well equipped as many on leafy plants of the same species (Frandsen, 2017; Smith, et al, 2017; Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist).
