Muraltia arachnoidea leaves

The small Muraltia arachnoidea leaves are tufted or spiralled up the stems on very short petioles or properly sessile.

The leaf-shape is lanceolate and thickly fleshy, tapering to a pointed tip that curves back and ends in a short spine. Longish white hairs are sparsely present on or near the margins. The glossy surfaces are rough with surface dots or tiny protuberances (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
