The flowers of Ornithogalum dubium may lack dark centres. In the photo they are variably green, colouring which is possibly disappearing gradually. The plant was seen north of Villiersdorp during October.

The six ovate tepals are shallowly concave on top, some slightly hooded at their tips. There are often small protrusions at the tepal tips as well.

The superior ovary is ovoid in the base of the flower centre, the style upon it short, ending in three short, spreading branches.

Six stamens angle out around the ovary. Their filament bases spread, particularly those of the inner three. The anthers are oblong and ridged, duller than the yellow of other floral parts and granular with pollen when ripe.

The youngest buds at the centre or tip of the rounded to flat-topped raceme are still green (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; Bean and Johns, 2005; iNaturalist).
