A Pelargonium luridum flower has five more or less elliptic petals, the upper pair bigger than the lower three. Known to be usually unmarked in this species, the upper petal pair of this nearly white flower has faint pink V-shaped lines at the petal bases. The petals spread, while those in some older flowers in the background recurve, some abruptly in the middle parts of the limbs.
Some green buds, most with their sepal lobes still together, are also present in the pseudo-umbel of many long pedicels. There can be up to 60 flowers in such an inflorescence (Pooley, et al, 2005; Manning, 2009; Germishuizen and Clarke, 2003; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
