Four straight pedicels of a Pelargonium articulatum inflorescence emerge from the sturdy peduncle where the tiny, pointed and hairy bracts spread. Variably brown to faintly reddish, the pedicels and peduncle are sparsely white-haired. No leaves are in sight. They only grow in a tuft from the ground.
The photo shows roughness in the gravelly soil, the plant living in it slight and slender (Shearing and Van Heerden, 2008; Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
