Pelargonium glutinosum shiny leaves

The leaves of Pelargonium glutinosum, in Afrikaans the taaiblaarmalva (sticky leaf geranium), are dark green and shiny in this photo. Indentations on the leaves forming angular lobes coincide roughly with the veins, clearly visible especially in the case of the midrib and the lowermost lobes. Secondary dissection of the basal lobes is common. The leaves are malodorous, more so when crushed.

The flowers are pale pink with darker markings restricted to the upper petals. The reddish anthers look like spots on the lower petals in some of the flowers in the photo. Petal margins are evenly rounded at their tips (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; iSpot).
