The somewhat unusual leaves of Pelargonium suburbanum subsp. suburbanum are roughly ovate to triangular in shape. Their margins are both shallowly lobed and regularly toothed. The leaf blades fold up slightly along their midribs, as well as along the lateral veins that ascend into tips of the marginal teeth. There is faint hairiness on the green leaf surfaces.
