Pelargonium klinghardtense leaves grow in dense clusters from stem-tips on thick, succulent stalks. They are simple, pale blue-green, faintly aromatic, thickly textured and fleshy.

The leaf-shape is obovate (oval and wider near the tip than the base) or spathulate (spoon-shaped), the base cuneate (wedge-shaped). Leaf dimensions are 3 cm to 6 cm long and 1,5 cm to 5 cm wide; the stalks are from 1 cm to 6 cm long.

The leaf margins are variably lobed, toothed and wavy, to such an extent that the spoon-shape of the leaf blade would defy all spoon-related functionality apart from stirring. And for that the stalk would probably be too short and limp if the coffee is hot (Frandsen, 2017; Le Roux, et al, 2005; www.pelargonium.si; http://llifle.com; www.bihrmann.com).
