The leaves of Pelargonium pulchellum grow from the base on short stalks, nearly on the ground. The leaves are covered with coarse hairs of which some are glandular. Flower stems and leaf stalks are also hairy.
The ovate to oblong leaves have notably lobed margins. These lobes are rounded, ending in pointed tips. The incisions separating them vary in depth. The dull to dark green leaf blades fold in along their midribs. The leaves become from 10 cm to 15 cm long.
These plants are browsed by game and stock (Williamson, 2010; Le Roux, et al, 2005; Eliovson, 1990; iNaturalist).
