This Pelargonium pinnatum photo taken near Hermanus shows a branching in the flower stalk to two umbels. Leaves and earlier inflorescences are brown and withered below, some fruiting having taken place. Also brown in picture are the narrow, pointed sepals.
The flowers are marked in dark red on the upper petal pair; feathery lines below and a blotch a small distance above that. The petals curve back, the lower ones more spoon-shaped than the bigger upper ones with tips approaching a flatter shape (Manning, 2007).
