Pelargonium radens, previously scientifically P. radula, is a much-branched, single-stemmed shrub reaching heights from 1 m to 1,5 m. The plant is soft, evergreen and fragrant.

The species distribution is in the Western Cape in the Little Karoo from Barrydale to the Eastern Cape as far as Makhanda (Grahamstown).

The habitat is sheltered ravines near streams and among shrubs on moist mountain slopes. The habitat population is deemed of least concern early in the twenty first century (Euston-Brown and Kruger, 2023; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
