    These about black Pelargonium sidoides flowers display their bright orange brown anthers on tapering, whitish filaments in front of the pair of upper petals. The stamens are less than half as long as the upper petals. The pollen is orange-yellow.

    The upper petals are reflexed near their tips, the lower ones smaller and spreading forward (iNaturalist; www.plantzafrica.com).
