    Few intermediate leaf-shapes of Paranomus reflexus are sometimes spotted between the upper broad-bladed and the lower, narrowly pinnate, dissected leaves. Incompletely dissected, the spoon-like blade is absent but the segments are fewer and broader.

    In the velvety white stem section above the leaves and below the flowers some narrow, white bracts spiral up the stem (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
