This white-flowering Podalyria shrublet was seen near Caledon. Podalyria biflora, a spreading shrublet reaching 30 cm in height and P. calyptrata, a tall plant, are at least two of the 19 members of the genus that occasionally produce white flowers. Podalyria flower colour is usually pink or purple, in several species with a touch of white near the petal bases.
The elliptic leaves seen here have pointed tips, darker green upper surfaces than below. The margins are entire, folding in on the sides. The short, bulging pods are conspicuously hairy.
