    The leaves below the Phylica villosa flowers in picture curve up, while the flower pedicels emerging above them curve down.

    The silvery covering of hair is neither equally dense, nor equally long on the different surfaces in picture, but soft and unknown to brush or comb. The leaf-tips are brown (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
