    The flowers of Rhigozum obovatum grow in fascicles on small spur-branchlets when there has been rain and the winter cold is over. The calyx is short and ribbed. The base of the yellow corolla is cup-shaped, its five lobes lavishly wavy.

    The five stamens are attached inside the base of the corolla cup. They protrude beyond the mouth of the cup as does the greenish style (Coates Palgrave, 2002).
