Flowers of the trithorn, in Afrikaans driedoring (three thorn) or wilde granaat (wild pomegranate) are white, pale pink or cream. In picture the flowers manage faint yellow only in the throat. But look carefully, it is only the yellow of the anthers that adds the extra colouring.

The more flamboyant Rhigozum species like Rhigozum obovatum and R. zambesiacum are deeply into the yellows, bearing brighter flowers.

The distinctive branching angularity and the small leaves are present on this plant of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park that brings wildlife continuity between South Africa and Botswana (Coates Palgrave, 2002; iNaturalist; https://kgalagaditransfrontierpark.co.za).
