Selago divaricata leaves

The small leaves of Selago divaricata grow in few-leaved, stalked fascicles spaced up the straight stems. The leaves become about 4 mm long. Leaves of many different lengths are generally on display on the same plant.

The leaves are narrow, linear to bulging in the centre, as the older ones do in the photo. Their dark green, fleshy surfaces are sparsely covered in minute, whitish hairs.

The brown stem in picture has similar hairiness (Williamson, 2010; Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist; JSTOR).
