In profile the Quaqua parviflora subsp. parviflora flower shows its thick, short, cylindrical pedicel. The five acutely tipped, triangular sepals are only about 2 mm long, adhering to the outside of the pale, funnel-shaped corolla base. On the egg-shaped, striped buds in picture the sepal tips veer away.
The five convex corolla lobes curve back towards their tips. They have few long hairs on the margins near their tips.
The inflorescence takes long to finish its presentation as the flowers open in sequence (Williamson, 2010; White and Sloane, 1937).
