Salvia chamelaeagnea flower

The bloublomsalie, Afrikaans common name of Salvia chamelaeagnea, is a Western Cape shrub that may grow to 2 m. The whorls of blue flowers appear on the upper parts of the multiple stems from late spring to autumn. This is a popular garden plant, also widely used in indigenous medicine for a variety of stomach and chest ailments.
