The mainly basal leaves of Senecio spiraeifolius are long and narrow, oblong in shape with conspicuous, busy margins. The margins are regularly lobed and toothed. The broad, often rounded lobes twist and bulge on the upper surface that is dark green and sparsely covered in scattered, whitish hairs (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
