The first flowers to open in this short Satyrium ligulatum flowers spike show their longish white spurs at the back of the flowers, facing outwards. There is also an about ring-shaped median sepal below one of the corollas.
Not all the petal and sepal tips have turned brown here yet, but the to be expected phenomenon has started.
The bracts in this inflorescence are green, each with three longitudinal ridges but no sign of purple colouring in this inflorescence. The shape of the erect bracts make it seem strange that they will so readily reflex when their flowers open (Liltved and Johnson, 2012; iNaturalist).
