Ruschia putterillii is a perennial leaf succulent that spreads its ground-covering branches while reaching heights around only 8 cm.

The pink, pink purple or white flowers grow solitary and short-stalked from stem tips. Petals grow in about two whorls around the cone of stamens ending in yellow anthers. Bloomtime is spring and summer.

The species distribution is in the Eastern Cape and the Free State, probably also in Lesotho.

The habitat is rocky grassland and scrub in shallow soils in summer rainfall semi-arid conditions. The habitat population is deemed of least concern early in the twenty first century.

The plant may have been used or is still used in traditional medicine (iNaturalist; https://plantlust.com; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
