The stalked leaves of Solanum eleagnifolium are narrowly ovate, tapering to acute tips. The leaf folds in along its conspicuous midrib, upon which spiny prickles may be found. Leaf dimensions are about 15 cm long and 0.5 to 2.5 cm wide.
The leaf surfaces are covered in white to silvery felt, particularly on the lower surface. Leaf margins are entire and variably, shallowly lobed (Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; Wikipedia).
